 Ocular involvement in leprosy affected individuals are screened routinely and treated appropriately.  Surgeries are carried out whenever indicated.  Ophthalmolgy consultations are available for others (non-leprosy patients) also and facilities are available for surgeries as well.   1,736 cataract operations were done for Hansen’s Disease patients and  1,156 operations were performed for non-H.D.
