Laboratory

Clinical pathology section carries out all routine investigation besides slit skin smear tests for leprosy affected. From 1970 to 1999   9,05,683 examinations have been done.

Biochemistry section  has an auto analyzer and 1,59,372 tests have been done since 1970 to 1999.  Besides routine biochemical investigations special tests like sweat print (ninhydrine test) mucoprotein test, fibrinogen test for ENL cases to assess the severity of lepra reaction are  also done.

ERBA CHEM-5 Plus semi-auto analyzer, ERBA AE 11-S Photoelectric calorimeter and Systronic flame photometer for sodium potassium estimation are available.

Microbiology: 2,101,863 Aerobic, Anaerobic and AFB culture and sensitivity tests have been done since 1970. Our laboratory is acclaimed for its quality control and it has been maintaining the status all through.  Ours is one of the top ten laboratories as far as the quality control is concerned. 
 
 

X-Ray and ECG

 This centre is equipped with a  60 mA x-ray unit and ECG machine.
